CRA My Account – What’s new
XE8 refund
Individuals with a permanent mobility impairment can now file an Application for Refund for Federal Tax on Gasoline in My Account. A new link called “File an XE8 refund application” is available on the “Overview” page.

Submit documents enhancements
- The picklist items in the submit documents service have been updated to improve usability and client satisfaction with the service, as well as to reduce the amount of misdirected mail.
- The process to attach, review, and submit documents has been condensed into fewer pages and fewer clicks.
- The maximum file upload size limit has increased from 150 MB to 500 MB.
Canada Recovery Benefits
The government introduced a suite of three new recovery benefits to provide needed support to Canadians who continue to face financial hardship even as the economy starts to re-open. The three new benefits are the Canada Recovery Benefit, the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit, and the Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit. Canadians can apply for these three new benefits in the CRA’s My Account.
